Hello! I'm Maria, and I'm delighted to share my story with you. I immigrated to the United States nine years ago from Venezuela, where I worked as a lawyer. But my true passion has always been baking.
Since I was 13 years old, I've been creating desserts and cakes for family and friends. Throughout my teenage years, I constantly sought out baking and cooking courses, always looking to improve my skills and learn new techniques.
When I arrived in the United States nine years ago, I continued baking for friends. One day, my husband suggested, "Why don't you start selling through marketplace and to friends?" That's how Temptations by Mary was born - a name that captures all the temptations people experience at events: dessert tables, custom cakes, and savory appetizers.
We officially launched three years ago here in Houston, and it's been an incredible journey ever since.
